news

much is going on with us these days. drop me a line and i'll be happy to give you the particulars. here's the outline version:

i'm finally seeing fruit, healing, victory in my life from life long habits of passivity and escapism. that how i've been put together: talents, gifts, calling is not being put to effect. they've been dormant and suppressed.

in the process of chasing this down, really just in earnest the last couple months, i also felt God saying i needed to take a leap of faith, to walk away from my current job and to look for a position at the university, one that lets how i've been fitted together thrive and be challenged. so i took the leap and turned in my resignation effective june 1 and started searching. i'm making progress and will keep you posted.

and we found out last week that amy is pregnant. she should be due in december. this is also another testimony of God working in our lives. it took three years and several fertility treatments to become pregnant with isaac. we've done no birth control for 7 years. it's not coincidence the timing of our spiritual journey and this.

needless to say we're excited, overwhelmed, having a blast, and more. amy is doing well. i think it was the 2nd or third thing she did after testing positive to start shopping for maternity clothes online. isaac is really excited. when we told him he went to amy's tummy and patted it and said hi to the baby. he's convinced that there is a little brother in there. last night i asked him what we should name the baby and he said he doesn't have a name. he's little brother. ok. pretty good stage name - little brother glover. and joy will be an awesome big sister. we've watched big sister dora on repeat much of the weekend. joy is taking notes.

so, expect more regular updates as we chart the progress of the belly. amy's guess is she'll weigh close to 1,000 pounds by this winter. i'm doubting the likelihood of that. but, don't cross a pregnant woman.

I'm glad that Amy is preggers. It'll be great fun having all three of the Glover children running about.

OH MY! As a family who has received the blessing of a third child in a way/time that would never make sense in our own minds, I rejoice with you at the news of this new life! And just as importantly, the newness of life that comes from drawing close to the Lord! I pray you continue to see His hand at work in your lives... and continue to praise Him for all He is doing! We love you guys! ~Missie Ray G
